The 12th annual venture forum hosted by Technology 2020 is scheduled for October 8, 2008 at the Knoxville Convention Center. This year’s event has a new name and a new format.  

Presenting companies have been selected and information about them is available on our site.

Registration for attendees will be open until the day of the event.

This year’s event features several significant changes from prior years. Specifically, TEC Connect will be an all day event designed to connect technology, entrepreneurs and capital. The new components include:

• Breakfast panel discussion
• Two educational tracks
• Keynote Speaker Luncheon
• Navigator Awards
• Venture Forum

Lunch will feature keynote speaker Mike Campbell, founder and CEO of Regal Entertainment Group, and a presentation of the 2008 Navigator Award winners.

The venture forum portion of the program will begin after lunch and feature six early-stage companies seeking investment.  

“We are excited about TEC Connect 2008,” said Shawn Carson, Director of Tech 2020’s Centers for Entrepreneurial Growth, “This will be the first year we have added an educational track for entrepreneurs to the traditional venture forum program, and we expect the event to be even more valuable to them as a result.”
